Local History

The Local History Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday morning each month upstairs at Age Concern in Bradbury House on Beaumont Street at 10.00 for coffee - the meetings begins at 10.30.

Our programme is made up of visiting speakers, talks from our own members who have researched a particular area of interest and visits to local sites of historical significance.

There is a wealth of history in this area and we have had great help from the staff of the Local History section in Crown Street Library.

2019 Programme of Talks and Visits

In April we enjoyed an informative visit to the Station in Richmond, as a follow up to our group talk the previous month.
